Airtel fooling customers with Automatic Hello Tunes Activation

Did you ever get surprised by the automatic deduction of your talking balance from your Airtel account? If yes then you are not the only one. Many people these days are facing this issue. You may call it a error/fault/corruption on the Airtel part and may call on 121 to get your money back. But dear friends it is of no use. Airtel call center executives are no more then the machines these days. They just repeat the lines which they learn during their training saying that its your fault and your requested for that Hello Tunes by calling on 121.

Even if you dont know when you called or requested for some shitty Hello tunes, these machines(call center executives) have all the records about when you requested for that Hello Tunes and that too from your own number. If you asked for the recorded IVRS interaction details, these machines have no reply. You can only break your head and waste your money(Yes ! We have to pay now for calling the customer care number) by talking with these machines but you will not get any solution for your problem.

I face this problem few days back and experience the same issue talking with some machine. Quite irritated with the interaction with that machine i searched this issue on google ( search query = "airtel hello tunes automatically activated") and was quite amazed to see that i was not the only one who was facing this issue, there are lot of other people who were getting such type of problems.

Is this the another trick of Airtel to fool people and deduct balance from their accounts. It was not expected from a company of Airtel stature and that too in the era of Mobile Number Portability.

I addressed this issue to Airtel nodal officer by email and he admitted that its Airtel fault. Some how i got my balance back. But every one is not so lucky as they feel that 30 Rs is such a small amount and generally ignore such things. But wrong is wrong. We should make efforts from ur side to correct such things. We are the people who make such companies not vice versa. Teach them a lesson and they  will bow infront of you.

Jinhe naaz hai hind par vo kahan hai ??

Before going through the post please watch this Song 'Bilqis' by Rabbi Shergil.

Now if i am not wrong, after listening to this song you must be wondering who are people like Bilqis, Sateyndra Dubey, Manjunath. Navleen kumar and what inspired Rabbi toh conceptualize a song on these people. They are not Film Stars, they are not politicians, they are not social workers... then who are these people???

Even when first i heard this song, i thought that these people were some freedom fighters who sacrificed their life in freedom struggle but  when i searched for their names on Wikipedia, i came to know that those are the real heroes who lost their life fighting against corruption in modern India. Below is a brief description about each of them:

Bilqis Bano:
"Mera naam Bilqis Yakub Rasool
Mujhse hui bas ek hi bhool
Ki jab dhhundhhte thhe vo Ram ko
To maen khadi thhi, rah mein

Pehle ek ne puchha na mujhe kuchh pata thha
Dujey ko bhi mera yehi javab thha.."

Bilkis Bano is one of the victims of the riots which followed the Godhra train massacre. On March 3 (or February 28), 2002, she was gangraped in Dahod district of Gujarat when she was pregnant. She also lost 14 relatives including her 3-year-old child, mother and 2 sisters. She is the sole witness to this incident. The case was handled by the CBI, and was transferred to Mumbai court on the orders of the Supreme Court. 20 people have been accused in the case.

Satyendra Dubey:
"Mera naam Shriman Satyendra Dubey
Jo kehna thha vo keh chukey
Ab padhey hain rah mein
Dil mein liye ek goli

Bas itna kasoor ki hamne likha thaa
Vo sach jo har kisi ki zuban thaa
Par sach yahan ho jatey hain zehreelay"

Satyendra Kumar Dubey (1973 - 27 November 2003) was a project director at the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). He was murdered in Gaya, Bihar after fighting corruption in the Golden Quadrilateral highway construction project.

Manjunath:
"Mujhe kehte hain anna Manjunath
Maine dekhi bhatakti ek laash
Zamir ki beech sarhak Lakhimpur Kherhi

Adarsh phasa jahan naaron mein
Aur chor bharey darbaron mein
Vahan maut akhlaq ki hai ik khabar baasi.."

Shanmugam Manjunath was a marketing manager for the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) who was murdered for sealing a corrupt petrol station in UP. This incident inspired several students at IIM, IIT and other institutes.

Navleen Kumar:
"
Mazha nau aahe Navleen Kumar
Unnees june unnees bar
Unnees unnees unnees unnees
Unnees baar

Looto dehaat kholo bazaar
Nallasopara aur Virar
Chheeno zameen hamse humhe
Bhejo pataal"

Ms. Navleen Kumar, who worked for the land rights of adivasis/tribals in Nallasopara, outskirts of Mumbai was stabbed to death on the terrace of her flat. She had been fighting against “builders and land mafia” who had been usurping tribal land by terror, force and fraud over the last 20-25 years, to restore the land rights to the tribals – the original owners. On the 19th of June 2002, she was stabbed 19 times

So where are such people now who know how to fight for their rights and raise voice against corruption?? Are they busy paying EMI of 3 bedroom flat or working onsite for few dollars or they are busy running to catch tho DTC bus or they are busy in the meeting with their bosses ???

Jinhe naaz hai hind par vo kahan the
Jinhe naaz hai vo kahan hain ??

Corruption prevailing at Delhi's ISBT

Will you be surprised to know if i say that some people are making their castles by looting common people on necessities like urination !!! If yes then please follow the below post.

I would like to bring to your kind notice the pathetic conditions and corruption prevailing in all the three Interstate Bus Terminals (ISBTs) of Delhi. Delhi is going to host Common Wealth Games this year and Delhi Govt is expecting thousands of visitors for that event. But it seems that Govt is only busy in doing external makeup of the capital. Making flyovers and metro is not enough. What about providing good transport facilities to the tourists coming to India?

I like to bring to your knowledge the unauthorized collection of fare at public conveniences(toilets) at Delhi ISBTs. First of all, the hygienic and maintenance facilities available there are NIL. God save you if need to use toilets at ISBTs by any chance. Second but the foremost thing is the corruption prevailing at these toilets.

It is clearly and boldly mentioned outside each toilet that one has to pay 5 Rs for toilet and there is no charge for urinal. But as always it happen in India, things are never followed as they are meant to be... One have to pay 20 Rs (yes 20 Rs and that too in advance) before entering the so called public convenience building. First pay 20 Rs only then you can enter inside else u have to face 4-5 goonda type men sitting out-side the gate. These are the 'security personal' hired by the contractor for looting the common people.

This condition is not only at one or two toilets, i visited several toilets on Anand Vihar ISBTs and everywhere i found the same issue. The complaint number mentioned there, above the rate list,  as expected doesn't works. And this happening just beside the Anand Vihar police station.

This is only a part of looting practice followed. The whole picture is much much bigger and dirtier. There is also a common practice to sell a 10 Rs mineral water bottle at Rs 15 and similarly with other eatables at these public places. When you want to complain against such practices nothing happens most of the times as these sellers are not the main culprits of such nexus rather if we go on peeling the layers of this fruit many white collared and respectable names will appear as they are the main beneficiaries of these practices.

I marked this complaint on the public grievance website of delhi govt and as expected even after 5 months, it shows that "Grievance is still under process". LOL..Madam Chief Minister and her army of bureaucrats,  i am sorry for disturbing all of you.

JAAG!

The world around us is a mess. And we are in our cocoons.

Two options. Stay in the comfort zone; blame everything on the system. Or, BE the system.

Jaag! is one such initiative. But rather than going radical, its about a gradual process called "awakening".

Today's youth has exuberance. Today's youth has energy. Today's youth is sick of the present. Today's youth desires a change. And at least before familial engagements tie us down, today's youth has high morals. Let's tap all of these.

Let's try to make people stop and think, at the least. Write on things that bother you, that piss you off.

Please refer to this link for more detail about Jaag! Initiative: http://jaagtheawakening.blogspot.com/

DELHI GURGAON EXPRESSWAY: HIGHWAY TO DISASTER

Welcome to the 28 KM Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on NH8 which 'claims' to be one of the biggest and well maintained expressway in India. As most of the highways in India, it is owned by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and is operated by the concessionaire Delhi Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited (DSC), with the concession period being 20 years.

Please note that i have highlighted the word 'CLAIM' above because, in reality and the world outside the deadly combo of  DSC-NHAI Collaboration, these claims are never met. Have you heard the term "CHOR CHOR MAUSERE BHAI"... ??? This proverb is apt to the core for this deadly duo. You must be wondering why I am using the term deadly again and again... !!! that because this expressway has claimed more than 150 lives till now from the date it is opened for public. And you will be amazed to know that NHAI recently fined DSC for not sharing profit and it (NHAI) is deaf and dumb to the mismanagement and corruption which lead to the death of so many people.

DSC recently hiked toll tax by 2 Rs for small cars, that means now one has to pay Toll Tax of Rs 20 for one side entry at Delhi-Gurgaon border. DSC already generate a revenue of  7 million per day from this expressway. I know its require a lot of money to maintain a expressway like this but what a toll tax payer gets after paying this amount ?? First look at the pic below then i will proceed further:

Isn't is disgusting ? 500 Meter long lanes and a waiting time of around 15 minutes to pay toll tax and cross the toll plaza !!! And even after paying your hard earned money as toll tax what you get... a maximum speed of 25 KM on so called expressway during peek hours that too when you are lucky to find yourself moving.

DSC has promised a waiting time of  45 sec at toll plaza but all in books. DSC has promised a 20 minute drive from IFFCO chowk in Gurgaon to IGI Airport in Delhi but all in books. DSC has promised a safe and huddle free journey but all in books.

I am using this route since there was no expressway and i know that there is no difference in traveling time even after DSC and NHAI gifted us this 'Super Connectivity Expressway'. Only thing is that now we have to shell out our money to get stuck in traffic jam.

I really find it disgusting. First we have to pay tax when we buy a vehicle and then we pay income tax( most of the people who use this expressway during office hours are tax payer), still we have to pay toll tax to move on road developed by people's money.

Under the expert guidance of traffic management professionals of DSC and ownership of NHAI, the future of this expressway seems very dark but as lord Krishna said in Geeta "Karma kiye ja, phal ki chinta na kar".. i would like to modify "Toll tax diye ja, speed ki chinta na kar"

HSBC credit card - Fooling Customers in the name of Bonus Reward Points

Are you the one who used to enjoy free Pizzas by redeeming your HSBC Reward points? Are you the one who swapped his credit card crazily in last three month just to get bonus reward points and dreaming about what to redeem with those 'bonus' rewards points ??

Then sir your happiness is very short lived. Sorry to informed you that HSBC has revised its reward catalogue w.e.f  20 April. In other words, HSBC has fooled you in the name of 'EXTRA' Rewards points for privileged customers.

HSBC started a mass mailing campaign few month back, with offers like double and triple bonus points for Platinum and Titanium card holders if they do a shopping of say Rs 20000 or more in a particular periods. But that was nothing but a marketing gimmick.

Remember Chanakya quoted  in his 'Chanakya Niti' that VYAPARAM DROHA CHINTANAM means Business is all about Cheating. HSBC applied the same funda here. On one hand they offers bonus point luring customers and on other hands they just cleverly changed the Reward Catalogue. So your extra earned bonus points are of either less or same value as they are in old Reward Catalogue.

For example earlier by using reward points of value 325 and 650 you will get gift vouchers of Rs 250 and 500 respectively which can be used at different outlets but in new Catalogue you have to use reward point of value 1500 to get gift vouchers of Rs 500.

Isn't a case of simple cheating by HSBC ? They just fooled and lured customers so that they will use their card more in that period, going out of their expanding limits and the bank will get a chance to earn more in the name of late fees, fines, interest.

Whats more they never informed any customer either by email or on their site about the change in reward catalogue. So in the end 'Consumer is not always a god'.
